The best Disneyland restaurants are often the most popular among some hidden gems that only locals know about. Our guide to all the best Disneyland restaurants including the best table and quick service spots in Disneyland, California Adventure, Downtown Disney, and all the Disney Resort hotels. Disneyland is known for having great food beyond just your typical theme park snacks that are just as iconic.
Table service is the term Disney uses to refer to restaurants that offer reservations and customers are waited on by cast members. Quick service are grab-and-go locations although many of them also offer seating. This guide is going to go over the best Disneyland restaurants for both quick and table service. This guide has been completely overhauled in September 2024 to feature the newest restaurants that are worthy of the “best restaurant” rating and to rerank based on new offerings.
There are a few things to consider when ranking the best Disneyland restaurants but the two main ones we'll focus on are food quality and theme. There are some restaurants that are iconic for their location or theme while others have stellar menus or maybe even both! But one other consideration that has gone into our best Disneyland restaurant review? All of our staff recommendations of favorite restaurants and menu items from everyone here at Mickey Visit. We dine in Disneyland weekly and many of us spend quality time with our kids in the parks so we have our best recommendations based on our own experience. We also split out the best Disneyland food items to eat into a separate article to highlight the best offerings.

Best Disneyland Restaurants 2024 Update
Since we launched this list the Disneyland restaurant scene has continued to evolved with a surprising number of new restaurants and menu changes debuting. Just in the past year we've seen Tiana's Palace, the restaurants in San Fransokyo Square, new dining at the Disneyland Hotel, and multiple new Downtown Disney restaurants debut. There is even more coming up with the transformation of Downtown Disney and the new Hungry Bear BBQ restaurant coming.
All of these new locations and the ever-changing menus has caused us to reevaluate some of our rankings within our best Disneyland restaurants list below. We've added some new additions and shifted some other locations on the list. One restaurant also fell off the list completely based on our decision that the great theming just didn't balance out the poor food quality.
This year we also have a new top spot on our best restaurants list. Lamplight Lounge has proven over and over again that it can deliver the great combination of atmosphere and food quality. We previously had Blue Bayou take this spot, but we are weighing the importance of atmosphere heavily here. You can end up in a back corner of Blue Bayou, which can feel like dining in a room with no windows rather than in the magical nighttime ambiance of the bayou. Of course you could also still end up with the best table in the house right on the water. At Lamplight Lounge, on the other hand, you're surrounded by beautiful waterfront views on all sides. In our experience, the worst table at Lamplight Lounge is much better than the worst one at Blue Bayou and the food is generally better.
Another change we made was moving Napa Rose up to tie with Carthay Circle Restaurant for the number 5 spot on our list. Napa Rose takes this spot for its quality of food, while Carthay Circle Restaurant ties with it due to its food combined with its elegant atmosphere and theming inside the theme park. Now, let's get into our current list…
Best Disneyland Restaurants
These are the best Disneyland restaurants based on either their unique theme or food quality. These are often the Disneyland restaurants guests hear the most about before a first-time visit. Ever heard of the restaurant inside the Pirates of the Caribbean ride? Or the famous tiki bar? Perhaps the Star Wars cantina? These top favorites all made this list along with a few hidden gems that are worth mentioning. The restaurants are as important as the best Disneyland rides during your day.
Table service restaurants at Disneyland offer advance 60-day reservations which are recommended as the ones on our list are some of the most popular restaurants at the parks. For tips on how to secure your Disneyland dining reservations, read our guide on how to snag those popular Disneyland reservations.
Plus, don't miss our take on whether these 16 “Worst” Restaurants According to Yelp Reviews Deserve That Title. It was a fun read that will also provide some helpful recommendations.
1. Lamplight Lounge
The Lamplight Lounge is an open-air Pixar-themed restaurant in California Adventure overlooking Pixar Pier. This restaurant is filled with original drawings, artwork, and artifacts celebrating all of the Pixar films. Not only is the interior decor of this restaurant fantastic for Pixar fans, but the views of Pixar Pier are also incredible. This location also has one of the best breakfasts in Disneyland.
There is an upstairs and downstairs at Lamplight Lounge with patios that overlook Pixar Pier and Paradise Bay. Whether you dine inside and enjoy the Pixar artistry or take in the views on the outdoor deck, the atmosphere here is one of the best at California Adventure. The menu is all themed around Pixar and offers a unique offering of California-inspired food. Our Lamplight Lounge review gives an overview of both brunch and the lunch/dinner menu.
In addition to being one of the best overall Disneyland restaurants, Lamplight Lounge is our top pick for table-service dining at Disney California Adventure. See the top table-service and quick-service restaurants ranked in our best Disney California Adventure restaurants guide.
Favorite Menu Item:The Lobster Nachos are the staple at the Lamplight Lounge and have a huge fan following at Disneyland. If Lobster isn't your thing, the Potato Skins are also a fantastic option. For Brunch, we love the Avocado Toast which also includes New York Strip Steak or the French Toast. For dinner, try the Al Pastor Pork chop.
Top Tip:There are some great secrets at the Lamplight Lounge like a secret bar menu and a secret room. Ask a cast member to take advantage of these Disneyland secrets. Some of our favorite places to sit at the restaurant are the outdoor couches which boast great views out across Paradise Bay.
Location:Pixar Pier, California Adventure
2. Blue Bayou
The most famous themed best Disneyland restaurant is easily the Blue Bayou. Blue Bayou is the iconic restaurant located inside the Pirates of the Caribbean restaurant in New Orleans Square at Disneyland Park. Blue Bayou offers Southern-inspired food with a New Orleans flair. This is an iconic Disneyland restaurant and has been a staple of the resort since it opened in 1967.
You do not need to dress up for this experience, like most Disneyland restaurants you will see guests in normal park clothes but it can be fun to make this a special meal by wearing nicer clothes. Kids will love the atmosphere and the kid menu appeals to all palettes. You can read our full Blue Bayou review to see why we love this restaurant, especially for its Fantasmic! dining package.
Favorite Menu Item: Bread service and Pistachio Lemon Basil Pasta
Top Tip:Ask for a table by the water to have the best view of the boats going by. Even if the host says it'll be a long wait, it often isn't long at all and it's well worth it. The waterside table pictured above is far better than a table deeper into the restaurant.
Location:New Orleans Square, Disneyland
3. Trader Sam's Enchanted Tiki Bar
Trader Sam's Enchanted Tiki Bar is located at the Disneyland Hotel and is well-known for its fun atmosphere. This bar is inspired by the popular Jungle Cruise attraction. The exterior of the bar is lit with tiki torches but the interior is where the best theming takes place. The story goes that legendary explorer Trader Sam traveled the Amazon, Congo, etc. to find all the best ingredients to mix into his magical cocktails. The bar is also filled with all the many trinkets and artifacts he has collected on his travels.
But the best part of this enchanted bar is that certain drinks ordered trigger animatronics set in the bar along with lightning, sound effects, and different bartender interactions. It's what makes the atmosphere so fun! For example, if you order the Uh Oa! drink the bartender rings a bell and everyone will begin chanting “Uh OA! Uh OA!” and cast members spray water into the air so it feels like beginning to rain. Our Trader Sam's Enchanted Tiki Bar review covers why this spot is such a fan favorite.
Favorite menu items:Order any of the drinks that trigger one of the special effects to get the full experience. The two most noteworthy are the Uh Oa! and the Krakatoa Punch.
Top Tip:The biggest thing to know about Trader Sam's is no kids are allowed inside after 8PM and it becomes adults only.
Location:Disneyland Hotel
4. Breakfast With Minnie and Friends at the Plaza Inn
Breakfast with Minnie & Friends at Plaza Inn is the only character dining inside the theme parks. This is one of the best character dining restaurants at Disneyland if you want to meet a large variety of characters. The atmosphere of the Plaza Inn also makes this spot worthy of consideration as the interior was decorated by Walt Disney's wife Lillian and the outside patio offers views of Main Street USA and Sleeping Beauty Castle. Characters at this breakfast and brunch buffet can include Minnie Mouse, Eeyore, Captain Hook, Rafiki, Winnie the Pooh, Chip n Dale, Fairy Godmother, Max, and the penguins from Mary Poppins. Read our Breakfast with Minnie and Friends character dining review to see why we love this experience.
Favorite Menu Item:This buffet includes the famous Mickey Mouse waffles so make sure you don't miss trying these.
Top Tip:Guests will take a photo with Minnie Mouse right when you arrive before you enter the restaurant so be prepared to get this great picture before you dine.
Location:Main Street U.S.A., Disneyland
5. Carthay Circle
Carthay Circle is one of the best dining locations at Disneyland for quality food and a more upscale atmosphere. The menu here is prepared courtesy of Chef Andrew Sutton, Culinary Director of the award-winning Napa Rose. But the menu isn't the only reason to get excited about Carthay Circle, the restaurant itself is inspired by the original Carthay Circle from the 1920s.
Carthay Circle is where Walt Disney's first feature-length film, Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, premiered in 1937. The restaurant's design and decor are inspired by the glamour of Hollywood in the 1920s and artifacts of the early Disney era. This restaurant is a beautiful tribute to this moment in Walt Disney's life and is a great place for Disney history buffs to enjoy. Read our Carthay Circle review to see a full photo tour of the extensive details of this classic restaurant.
Favorite Menu Item:The Pork Chop, it's so moist it falls right off the bone.
Top Tip:Try the lounge dining option which offers a great selection of cocktails and lighter meals like our favorite Moroccan Chicken Meatballs.
Location:Buena Vista Street, California Adventure
5. Napa Rose
Also tied for our fifth spot is the Napa Rose. Napa Rose is the upscale dining option at the Grand Californian Hotel & Spa which features Award-Winning Cuisine by Chef Andrew Sutton. Napa Rose features both a prix fixe Vintner Menu and a la carte selections of dishes that honor California's culinary history, artisan farmers, and winemakers.
This is an upscale, luxurious dining option and has a price tag and dress code to match. Guests are required to dress in appropriate dinner attire (dress pants, nice jeans, collared shirts, dresses, etc.) and leave the hats, swimwear, tank tops, or distressed jeans at home. If you are looking for a luxury dining experience, this is the best option in the Disneyland area.
Napa Rose is also the location you can find the Disney Princess Breakfast Adventures character dining which offers a more casual yet still high-quality dining experience. The morning begins with a three-course breakfast and guests will meet Princesses such as Belle, Tiana, Ariel, Jasmine and others.
Favorite Menu Item:The menu rotates frequently so it's hard to pick a favorite menu item, ask your server for their best recommendation.
Top Tip:This is the only Disney Princess character meal option at Disneyland and offers some of the best character interactions.
Location:Grand Californian Hotel & Spa
6.Oga's Cantina
Disneyland has a knack for themed bars so it's not surprising to see another one on this list. Oga's Cantina is the themed Star Wars bar in Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge at Disneyland. This bar is right out of a Star Wars film inspired by the catina we see in the first Star Wars film where Luke Skywalker meets Han Solo for the first time. But the best thing about Oga's Cantina is the animatronic droid known as DJ Rex. This animatronic is a callback to the original Rex from the Star Tours attraction before he was replaced by C3PO.
This is a family-friend restaurant and you will see plenty of kids in here. But you may want to ask for a booth as the rest of the room in the bar is standing only and kids might not be as willing to stand as adults are. Our Oga's Cantina dining review covers all the ins and outs of the diverse menu in this Star Wars bar.
Favorite Menu Item:Yub Nub and Five Blossom Bread.
Top Tip:This can be a hard reservation to snag, if you're unsuccessful in advance try the walk-up list as soon as you arrive at the park as they often allow walk-ins if you get on the list first thing.
Location:Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge, Disneyland
7. World of Color Dessert Party
The World of Color Dessert Party is the reserved viewing option for World of Color that offers both seats during the show, cocktails/beverages, and a dessert plate of Disney sweets. This is the most luxurious way to view World of Color and a fan favorite of many for enjoying the show. This is the only dining package for World of Color that offers seated viewing making it one of our favorite ways to view the show. You can read our World of Color Dessert Party review to see why this is an experience we repeat on each visit.
Favorite Menu Item:Pre-fix plate with desserts, cheeses, bread plus an assortment of beverages. World of Color cocktail.
Top Tip:The dessert plate changes during the holiday season to feature Christmas themed treats like a Mickey Mouse gingerbread cookie.
Location:Paradise Gardens, California Adventure
8. Carnation Cafe
Carnation does not have over-the-top indoor theming but what makes it a great spot is the atmosphere of the outdoor patio. Carnation Cafe is located on Main Street U.S.A. so the outdoor patio puts you right in the middle of the ambiance of one of the most historic places in Disneyland. In fact, Carnation Cafe is one of the original restaurants of the Disneyland Resort and has been open since the opening day of the resort on July 17th, 1955. Walt Disney famously loved chili, so the chili on the menu has been named Walt's Chili in his honor. Due to the nostalgia and atmosphere of this restaurant, this is a quintessential place to enjoy a meal at Disneyland as you can see by reading our review of this favorite restaurant.
Favorite Menu Item:Well, Walt's Chili is a must as this is top-notch chili and a classic recipe. This restaurant also serves the best homemade veggie burger at the park. The fried pickles are also a great appetizer.
Top Tip:Try to time your reservation so you're eating during one of the afternoon parades, you won't have a perfect view but the atmosphere is fun.
Location:Main Street U.S.A., Disneyland
9. Cafe Orleans
Cafe Orleans is a popular table-service restaurant in New Orleans Square at Disneyland with an outdoor patio overlooking the Rivers of America. The outdoor ambiance of this New Orleans-inspired restaurant makes it a favorite on our list of themed Disneyland dining. Watch the Mark Twain Riverboat glide past, listen to live music passing by all while enjoying some of the most iconic Disney food items. Read our Cafe Orleans dining review to see why this is one of our favorite restaurants in Disneyland!
Favorite Menu Item:Monte Cristo and Pommes Frites – if you want a healthy option here (or at least something that feels healthy) add in the Burrata & Prosciutto salad

Location:New Orleans Square, Disneyland
10. Bengal Barbecue
Bengal Barbecue is one of the best quick-service restaurants in Disneyland. This popular spot is located in Adventureland right across from the Jungle Cruise. Featuring skewers with grilled meats, and veggies along with pineapple spears, pickles, and tiger tails.
Favorite Menu Item:Bengal Beef and Outback Vegetable Skewer.
Top Tip:This is a popular location so using mobile order for this best Disneyland restaurant is a must. Set your mobile order earlier in the day if you know what time you want to eat lunch to avoid long waits.
11. Jolly Holiday Bakery Cafe
Jolly Holiday Bakery Cafe is a Mary Poppins-themed restaurant that offers deli and cafe-style food items like fresh pastries, sandwiches, breakfast items, sweets, and iconic Disneyland items. There is no indoor seating but there is a large patio surrounding the restaurant with plenty of places to sit.
Favorite Menu Item: Jolly Holiday Combo, Matterhorn Macaroon, Beef-Birria Grilled Cheese Sandwich (not always on menu), and the Cranberry-Pecan Salad.
Top Tip:This quick service restaurant is often the one place at Disneyland that stays open right until closing even went they close at 12AM making this a greatlate-night spot to eat. Use mobile order to skip the lines.
12. GCH Craftsman Bar
GCH Craftsman Bar is a quick-service spot located in the that is one of the best-hidden gems at Disneyland. The menu features fresh, California-inspired fare ranging from avocado toast to salmon salad to flatbread. The restaurant prices are reasonable for how good the food is and this is a great, relaxing spot to eat a quick lunch or dinner. This is one of the restaurants that Gavin Doyle, the founder of Mickey Visit, eats at the most during his Disneyland days. A secret for locals and those in the know!
Favorite Menu Item: Tuna Poke Bowl or Hamburger (there is a seasonal burger that changes)
Top Tip:You can easily access this restaurant by using the entrance to the Grand Californian located near Grizzly River Run in California Adventure. You do not need to be a hotel guest to use this theme park entrance after the park opens.
Location:Grand Californian Hotel & Spa
13. Tiana's Palace
Tiana's Palace is a recently added quick-service location in New Orleans Square offering Southern comfort dishes and offerings inspired by Creole and Cajun cuisine. The restaurant is known for its gumbo and sandwiches as well as its house-made beignets. Tiana's Palace offers one of the most unique vegetarian options at the park with its 7 Greens Gumbo.
Favorite Menu Item: 7 Greens Gumbo with Chicken & Andouille Sausage, Beef Po'boy Sandwich, Cold Brew
Top Tip: While mobile ordering is typically the way to go for quick-service restaurants, we recommend avoiding it for Tiana's Palace. The presentation of the food on the white plates you get when dining there looks more elegant and appetizing than how it appears in the mobile order containers.
For the Beef Po'boy Sandwich, you can ask to swap out the beans that come with the sandwich for mac and cheese. We'd recommend that swap.
14. Pym Test Kitchen
Pym Test Kitchen is the main quick service restaurant in Avengers Campus which has arguably some of the best-themed menu items of all the quick service restaurants. The story of this restaurant is that they used Pym Particles to grow and shrink the food items on the menu. Pym Particles is the shrinking and growing technology featured in the Ant-Man films.
The interior of the restaurant has a “quantum tunnel” on the ceiling where you can watch a conveyer belt of pretzels go from regular size to huge. These menu items are all themed to be extraordinarily large or small with mini noodles and oversized meatballs or a pretzel weighing nearly 360 grams.
Favorite Menu Item: Quantum Pretzel, The Not so Little Chicken Sandwich is a great breaded cutlet on a small piece of bread, The Choco Smash Candy Bar which is a homemade bar with Dark Chocolate, Peanuts, Caramel, Nougat and Chocolate Brownie.

Din Tai Fung is one of the newer additions to Downtown Disney. The restaurant is renowned for its Xiao Long Bao (soup dumplings) and hospitality, and it offers a variety of items like dumplings, wontons, vegetables, fried rice, noodles, and more. We are big fans of Din Tai Fung and were very excited to see it open at Downtown Disney. The delicious food, extensive menu, upscale atmosphere, and incredible service make it a standout location.
Favorite Menu Item: Truffle & Kurobuta Pork Xiao Long Bao, Spicy Wontons, String Beans with Garlic, Black Milk Tea
Top Tip: Pace yourself and resist the temptation to over-order! The meals are served family-style, and it's easy for your eyes to be bigger than your stomach when placing your initial order. You can always get more if you're still not full after your initial order.
16. Centrico
Centrico is a recently opened at Downtown Disney along with the table-service Paseo and the quick-service Tiendita. It replaced the former Uva Bar and is a charming open-air location offering a menu of Mexican cuisine by Michelin-starred Chef Carlos Gaytán. There is seating available at the bars, tables, and around a fire pit. See our experience at this new location here.

The wall-mounted longhorns were chosen by Walt himself and the interior of the saloon was designed by Disney legend Harper Goff based on the 1953 Doris Day film Calamity Jane. The menu includes traditional American favorites like chicken tenders, funnel cakes, and ice-cream floats.

This restaurant is themed to that of a “farm fresh” style restaurant but in a galaxy far, far away. Outside dining offers a view of the Millennium Falcon which is a great spot for taking photos. Our review of the Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge food options highlights why this is such a great-themed location.
Favorite Menu Item:The Chicken Yip-Tip is a popular choice and for vegetarians, the Felucian Kefta/Hummus Garden Spread is an option with more variety than a salad.

Favorite Menu Item:The classic pineapple Dole Whip is a staple at Disneyland but it's also fun to experiment with the different flavors and floats here.
Top Tip:Get a spot right by the water for the best view of the Jungle Cruise and the animatronic bird Rosita.
21. Harbour Galley
Harbour Galley is a quick-service spot serving seafood selections and soups in Critter Country at Disneyland. All the soups come in bread bowls and currently offer a selection including Clam Chowder or Corn Chowder. Harbour Galley is also home to the viral Disneyland chocolate chip cookies, which are a can't-miss dessert offering!
Favorite Menu Item: Soup in a Sourdough Bread Bowl, Chocolate Chip Cookies
Top Tip:The bread bowls here are filling making this a great place to grab dinner at a lower cost. Top Tip: While Earl of Sandwich is an ideal location to grab an easy lunch or dinner, it's also a great option for getting a quick breakfast before entering the parks. It makes our list of the best Disneyland breakfasts ranked.

Naples Ristorante e Bar is the best spot to get pizza in Disneyland. This restaurant offers wood-fired pizza, homemade pasta, appetizers, and salads. But the pizza is what makes this spot so popular! Best Disneyland Restaurants: Top Snacks!
Now before we go into the rest of our list of best Disneyland restaurants, we cannot ignore the great variety of snack carts you can find around both Disneyland and California Adventure. These famous Disneyland food items deserve an honorary mention.
Mickey Mouse Pretzel
You can't have a trip to Disneyland without eating an iconic Mickey pretzel! These Mickey-shaped pretzels are a favorite of many Disney guests. Get them with a cup of premium plastic cheese (who can deny this is the best?) and get the full experience. These also make for a quick and affordable snack option.
You can find Mickey pretzels primarily in Disneyland.
Disneyland Popcorn
Disneyland popcorn is a staple snack food at the parks. This fresh popped popcorn is located all over both Disneyland and California Adventure.
Another fun aspect of the popcorn at Disneyland is the chance to collect special souvenir popcorn buckets which are released for special celebrations and seasonal events. These popcorn buckets are a popular collector's item and many of these popcorn buckets are pretty elaborate and light up!
You can popcorn carts scattered around both Disneyland and California Adventure.
Disneyland Churros
My favorite breakfast option at Disneyland? A churro, of course. There is nothing better than a Disneyland churro- crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. Nothing else can compete, you cannot miss out on trying one of these. The standard churro flavor is cinnamon which is a classic but you can also find specialty churros too.
Disneyland releases a large variety of churros for each season like Halloween and Christmas along with special churros to celebrate celebrations like new Disney films or park anniversaries. These special churros are often drizzled in chocolate or other sauces/frostings and incorporate nuts/candy- you name it! One of my favorite flavors over the years was the Sugar Plum Churro released for Disneyland Christmas, I am always hoping that one will return!
You can churro carts scattered around both Disneyland and California Adventure.
Mickey Beignet
Mickey beignets are another traditional Disney snack that you cannot skip on your vacation. These beignets are made by cutting Mickey-shaped pieces of dough, deep frying them, and are topped off with confectioners sugar. And like with most things at Disneyland, everything Mickey-shaped just tastes better! You can currently find Mickey beignets at Mint Julep Bar which is connected to the new Tiana's Palace.
Harbour Galley Cookies
The viral Chocolate Chip Cookies from Harbour Galley have stolen the hearts of fans and are a popular Disneyland treat. These cookies are ideally sized and perfectly soft, a clear winner in our opinion against any other cookie you will find at Disneyland.
They come in a 6-pack or 13-pack and now come with the option to add a cookie butter whipped topping. This is the perfect choice if you're looking for something sweet and great for sharing!
Dole Whip
Dole Whips are another classic Disney treat that is a must-have for every Disneyland vacation. Dole Whips are essentially Dole pineapple soft serve and they are one of the most popular Disney dessert items. The best way to enjoy a Dole Whip is to order one right before you enter to watch the Enchanted Tiki Room!
You can find them at the Tiki Juice bar and Tropical Hideaway in Adventureland at Disneyland.
Hand-Dipped Corn Dog
Disneyland hand-dipped corn dogs are another staple snack item at the resort. These corn dogs are so popular you can expect to see large lines around lunchtime for the Little Red Wagon corn dog stand on Main Street at Disneyland. You can also get these hand-dipped corn dogs at Corn Dog Castle in California Adventure which usually has a lower wait and also offers a cheese-filled hand-dipped corn dog for vegetarians

- Cookies
All these candy shops have large windows where you can watch the cast members making the latest treats. These Disney candy/sweet shops will also feature themed cake pops, cookies, etc. for seasonal holidays and celebrations so you can expect to see different themed items year-round.

Best Disneyland Restaurants For Kids
Disneyland is family-focused so everything on our best Disneyland restaurant list are all great restaurants for kids but there are some locations that appeal directly to younger children, picky eaters, or offer large kids' menu portions.
